Arcadi Piera Roig (Universit\u00e8 Lumiere de Lyon II) en su trabajo \u201cLOS SISTEMAS HIDR\u00c1ULICOS DE LA ALQUER\u00cdA DE AGRES\u201d hace un estudio de los diferentes sistemas de irrigaci\u00f3n Hispanomusulm\u00e1n y las posteriores transformaciones a la \u00e9poca feudal.<\/p>\n<p>El casco urbano de Agres est\u00e1 delimitado por dos barrancos; el barranco del Molino al este y el barranco de Bonell al oeste. El barranco del Molino tiene un caudal de agua continuo todo el a\u00f1o, abastecido por los manantiales de la zona.<\/p>\n<p>El principal punto de captaci\u00f3n de este sistema se hace en la confluencia de tres barrancos o torrentes; son manantiales conocidos como las \u201cJORDANAS\u201d los cuales vierten gran cantidad de agua, un regalo a los sentidos despu\u00e9s de d\u00edas de lluvia. Adem\u00e1s hay una galer\u00eda o cavidad excavada en la roca calcar\u00eda en la cabecera del barranco. Esta construcci\u00f3n tiene como funci\u00f3n captar las aguas subterr\u00e1neas. Estos puntos de captaci\u00f3n se encuentran en el lado derecho del barranco, mientras que los abancalamientos se construyeron en la parte izquierda. Como el agua deb\u00eda cruzar el barranco para regar los bancales, los agricultores construyeron un AZUD, para regular el caudal de la acequia mayor y encaminar las aguas sobrantes por el cauce del barranco.<\/p>\n<p>A estos puntos de captaci\u00f3n situados en el lado izquierdo del barranco se han a\u00f1adido los numerosos manantiales ubicados en el lado derecho de la poblaci\u00f3n de AGRES, y donde cualquiera puede refrescarse en sus fuentes paseando por las calles del pueblo, son la fuente de arriba, la fuente de abajo y la fuente del medio. La canalizaci\u00f3n de las aportaciones de agua de estos manantiales es una manera de evitar el deterioro de la estructura de la acequia mayor y aumentar el volumen de agua por el riego.<\/p>\n<p>Este sistema se atribuye a los \u00e1rabes y es conocido como el sistema Hispanomusulm\u00e1n. Las transformaciones posteriores debidas a la \u00e9poca feudal nos dan la ampliaci\u00f3n de bancales, de la acequia, la construcci\u00f3n de un molino con su balsa y la construcci\u00f3n de la balsa de la villa que recoge todos los sobrantes de agua del sistema.<\/p>\n<p>En el oeste de Agres a 100 metros de distancia est\u00e1 el barranco de Bonell. En el lado izquierdo hay unos abancalamientos realizados en la \u00e9poca hispano-musulm\u00e1n y otros realizados durante las transformaciones de la conquista.<\/p>\n<p>El sistema original Hispanomusulm\u00e1n tiene el punto de captaci\u00f3n de la agua a unos 700 metros de altitud, al lado izquierdo del barranco en el manantial conocido como la fuente de Sirera. El caudal es constante pero peque\u00f1o, la acequia actualmente atraviesa la carretera y llega a la balsa de Bonell. Son 40 metros canalizados.<\/p>\n<p>Este manar natural de agua se utiliz\u00f3 para cubrir una necesidad primaria de supervivencia y desarrollo econ\u00f3mico del pueblo, en la actualidad tiene un inter\u00e9s tur\u00edstico , ya que son muchos los visitantes que se acercan a Agres para ver las ca\u00eddas de agua despu\u00e9s de temporales de lluvias LES JORDANES, EL MOLI MATO y para beber en las refrescantes fuentes mientras se pasea por el pueblo:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Fuente del convento.<\/li>\n<li>Fuente del arrabal.<\/li>\n<li>Fuente del medio.<\/li>\n<li>Fuente de barxeta.<\/li>\n<li>Fuente del assud.<\/li>\n<li>Fonteta.<\/li>\n<li>Fuente de Bonell.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Tambi\u00e9n paseando por los alrededores del pueblo se pueden ver fuentes como:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Fuente del anficoset.<\/li>\n<li>Fuente del arriero.<\/li>\n<li>Fuente del alcudia.<\/li>\n<li>Fuente de la pata.<\/li>\n<li>Fuente de la covasa.<\/li>\n<li>Fuente de la cava.<\/li>\n<li>Fontanella.<\/li>\n<li>Fuente del trampano.<\/li>\n<li>Fuente del Moli-Mato.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n[\/et_pb_text][\/et_pb_column][\/et_pb_row][\/et_pb_section][et_pb_section bb_built=\u00bb1&#8243;
