Based on a medieval tradition, by which the people of the town when Lent was approaching, took the authority of the people for 40 hours and did whatever they wanted, without any kind of prohibition. Apparently, the gentlemen of the town marked their territory in the trees and the people what used to do in this party was to cut one of these trees to the lord so that he could not determine its territory. All this was leading to a pagan feast that today is still preserved. It may be the oldest party known in Agres. They take place the weekend before Ash Wednesday.
